On November 22, police detained TV Pirveli journalist Giorgi Mamniashvili during a protest march in which eight demonstrators were arrested. According to TV Pirveli, Mamniashvili had been filming the arrests and sending the footage to the newsroom until contact with him was lost. Later, the Tbilisi City Court has fined Giorgi Mamniashvili GEL 3,000 (approximately EUR 965) for “petty hooliganism” and “disobeying police orders”.
