Mtavari TV was fined by the Communications Commission (ComCom) along with two other opposition TV channels for refusing to place election campaign advertisement of the ruling Georgian Dream party. The commercial included photos of members of activists and civil society organisation representatives with the following note: "Say no to the moral degeneration of society and choose traditional values." TV Channels refused to place this ad saying that it is promoting hate speech. Mtavari TV says it will appeal ComCom’s decision to the Court of Appeal.
