Dutch journalist Joost Bosman was denied entry to Georgia for the second time on July 14, after a previous refusal on July 5. During his first attempt, Bosman was informed he needed to pay a fine he had received for "artificially blocking the road on Rustaveli Avenue"- a charge commonly used against protesters and journalists following recent legal amendments in Georgia. Although he later paid the fine and attempted to re-enter the country via a land border, he was once again turned away. Over the past year, more than a dozen foreign journalists and reporters have reportedly been denied entry to Georgia without a clear explanation.
