Reports indicate that Imran Aliyev, the imprisoned head of the Meclis.info platform, is facing serious health issues. He is reportedly suffering from back and joint pain, along with unexplained swellings in various parts of his body. According to his relatives, the prolonged court process and harsh conditions at the Baku Pretrial Detention Center have severely impacted Aliyev’s physical and psychological well-being. “The repeated delays in the trial have deeply distressed him,” they said. “He had been awaiting the hearing scheduled for October 14 with hope, but when he learned a day before that it had been postponed, he suffered a nervous breakdown. Despite his condition, he was forcibly taken to court.” His relatives also stated that the next hearing at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes is set for November 4. The trial of Aliyev and others began in May.
