Additional information:

The Georgian Public Broadcaster (GPB) has dismissed Kakha Melikidze, its technical manager. The dismissal document states that he was fired for “violating internal rules” and damaging the broadcaster’s reputation. Melikidze had publicly criticised GPB’s editorial policy and what he described as pressure on its employees. He also said that GPB forced him to broadcast footage of Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze attending national football matches, which he claimed violated UEFA rules. Earlier this year, GPB dismissed other employees for criticising its pro-government stance and shut down several critical talk shows.
