On 3 February 2026, it became known that the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol had frozen the bank accounts and seized the property of two defendants in the case of former State Duma deputy Ruslan Balbek. The measures concern Fatime Sovkhoz and Crimean journalist Anna Gazhala, who advised Balbek and his staff on media relations and the management of official social media accounts. The court imposed the seizure on the grounds that the defendants may be sentenced to a financial penalty, the payment of which must be secured by freezing their assets.
