In Almaty, where riots are taking place, the editorial offices of MIR, Qazaqstan, Khabar, Eurasia, and KTK TV channels have been looted. Mobile video cameras were stolen, and the equipment was damaged. An employee of the Kazakhstan TV channel is reported to have sustained minor injuries during the attack. On the night of January 6, a fire broke out in two complexes where media outlets were located.
