The Russian foreign disinformation network “Matryoshka” released a fake video falsely attributed to the media outlet Agentstvo. The video shows the publication’s editorial board supposedly apologising for reporting on the Matryoshka disinformation campaign ahead of Armenia’s parliamentary elections. It also includes a fabricated statement from Roman Badanin, the founder of Proekt and Agentstvo. The video mimics the style and format of Agentstvo’s authentic posts on Instagram and TikTok.
