TV8 journalist Angela Gonța filed a complaint with the police against businessman and former politician Cristian Rizea who was sentenced to prison in Romania for corruption and had been hiding in Moldova for several years for defamation and insult. Previously, Rizea made defamatory statements about the journalist through his Instagram and YouTube accounts. The journalist also complained to the Prosecutor General's Office about violating the right to privacy of telephone conversations because Rizea used phone records to discredit the journalist.
