On 27 December, the headteacher of the secondary school in the village of Nor Artik, Aragatsotn Region of the Republic of Armenia, Anahit Martirosyan, filed a lawsuit with the regional court of general jurisdiction (Aparan court office) against the founder of LLC Vestnik Aragats Ashkharh and the editor of the newspaper of the same name, Vardevan Grigoryan. The claim demands a retraction of information considered defamatory, an apology for the insult, and compensation in the amount of 1 million drams (over USD 2,500). The lawsuit was prompted by notes published on 13 and 14 November, which stated that an unmanageable situation prevailed at the school, adversely affecting the quality of education. The case is currently under consideration.
