Uchtepa District Criminal Court sentenced blogger Bobur Ganiev for using the word «cop» under Article 41 (insult) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan to a fine of USD 505. In addition, the court also found the blogger guilty under Article 194 (disobedience to the demands of the Ministry of Internal Affairs officer) of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan and fined him USD 77. In addition, he was sentenced to 15 days of arrest under Article 195 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of the Republic of Uzbekistan (countering the performance of official duty by police officers). On September 30, he was detained after a document check and a brawl with the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers; the law enforcement officers found pornography on his smartphone at the station. The correspondent was forced to record a video admitting his guilt.
