A criminal case has been initiated against the founder of the Formula TV channel David Kezerashvili, who the Ministry accused of Defence of Georgia of embezzlement when he was head of the Ministry of Defence during 2006-2008. Kezerashvili denies the charges, recalling that in 2016 the European Court of Human Rights found the accusations of the Georgian prosecutor's office unlawful. The channel management believes the Georgian authorities are trying to get rid of the TV channel, as they did two years ago with Rustavi 2 TV channel.
