The Russian Ministry of Justice has designated media manager and poet Demyan Kudryavtsev as a “foreign agent.” The ministry stated that he opposed Russia’s military campaign in Ukraine, took part in producing and sharing materials from foreign agents or “undesirable” organizations, and spread “false information about the decisions and policies of Russian authorities.” Kudryavtsev formerly led the Kommersant publishing house and later owned Vedomosti and The Moscow Times.
