At the Tbilisi Court building, a bailiff assaulted Publika journalist and photographer Mindia Gabadze. According to Gabadze, one bailiff kicked him while another grabbed him by the neck. He further stated that the head of the court bailiffs, Davit Matiashvili, threatened him with violence. Gabadze was at the courthouse to cover the trial of recently imprisoned protester Gela Khasaia. After the court decided to keep Khasaia in custody, bailiffs also used violence against his friends and supporters who had gathered at the hearing.
