Sofyin reported about threats from the Ulyanovsk Region Governor Alexey Russkikh. On April 15, in the presence of three witnesses, Russkikh accused the journalist of «pouring dirt on him» on the Telegram channel Kompromat on the order of former Governor Sergey Morozov. Sofyin is investigating corruption in the city hospital in Ulyanovsk. According to the journalist, the hospital administration has filed five complaints against him with the law enforcement agencies – about «insults», «illegal filming», and statements on social media.
