On February 7, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia announced that the Georgian Supreme Court upheld the decisions of previous courts and obliged the Pirveli TV company to «refute the false information» in the story from January 30, 2021, about inspector Gela Kvashilava and pay him compensation for moral damage. The head of Pirveli TV News Service Nodar Meladze said they had no other expectations as «there is no court» in the country and «the law enforcers did as they were told». According to Meladze, other people than the respondents of the story were questioned as witnesses at the trial.
