Centre for Combating Extremism officers and riot police officers came to the editorial office of the Pskovskaya Gubernia newspaper. Journalists were forced to lie face down on the floor, their computers and phones were seized. During the «inspection» (as police called it), the police confiscated all the equipment from the editorial office: three computers, six notebooks (including personal ones), two photo and video cameras with all the media, microphones, personal cell phones, and much more. The Pskovskaya Guberniya website was blocked that same evening: first by decision of the Prosecutor General's Office, and then at the demand of Roskomnadzor to the website hoster of the media. On March 6, the media announced a temporary suspension of its activities due to the blocking, lack of professional equipment, and threat to the safety of its staff.
