Journalist Svetlana Khustik has been arrested in Krasnoyarsk on charges of spreading “false information” about the Russian military (Part 1, Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). According to the Investigative Committee, the case was opened over a May 2023 publication in a media outlet designated as a “foreign agent,” which allegedly contained “knowingly false information” about the actions of Russian troops “during the special military operation.” Khustik has contributed, among others, to Sibir.Realii (a project of RFE/RL).
