Police in Bishkek searched Temirov Live’s office, confiscated equipment, searched the flats of 11 current and former employees, and arrested them. Employees of Temirov Live and Ait Ait Dese Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy (wife of Bolot Temirov), Azamat Ishenbekov, and Sapar Akunbekov were reportedly detained. Journalists of PolitKlinika (Tynystan Asypbek) and Archa Media (Saipidin Sultanaliyev) were also arrested. The search in the office of Temirov Live and the flat of Makhabat Tazhibek kyzy was conducted without lawyers, which is a violation of the law. According to investigative journalist Bolot Temirov, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened a case against Temirov Live employees under Part 3 of Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (calls for active disobedience to the lawful demands of the authorities and mass riots, as well as calls for violence against citizens).
