The Pervomaysky District Court of Bishkek dismissed all three complaints of the management of the news agency 24.kg. The investigating judges considered the petitions on the legality of the undertaking of non-disclosure of case materials, on the non-admission of lawyers to the office during the search on January 15, and on the investigator’s decision to deny access of the editorial staff to the office to carry out professional activities. Sessions on the last two issues were held in closed mode. On January 5, the State Committee for National Security officers arrived at the office of the editorial board. After an hour-long search, seizure of documents, equipment and personal phones, the office was sealed. Access to the office was closed and the management of the editorial office was taken away for interrogation. The SCNS reported that the search at 24.kg was conducted as part of a criminal case under the article «Propaganda of War» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
