The Mtis Ambebi camera crew was returning to Tbilisi from fieldwork when journalist Gela Mtivlishvili reported that a white truck began following them on the highway, forcing them to stop. An armed law enforcement officer exited the pick-up and shouted, "Why didn’t you let us through?" while threatening Mtivlishvili. When the journalist attempted to film the incident, the officer attacked him and tried to seize his phone.
