On September 28, a short version of the Italian-Ukrainian documentary The Wrong Place (In the wrong place, at the wrong time) was presented in Ukraine for the first time. Presentation was held at the Maidan Museum in Kyiv.
On 29 September, in Milan, the trial of Vitaly Markiv will be heard by the Court of Appeal. His lawyer asked the court to consider The Wrong Place documentary as an evidence. Ukraine’s National Guard member Vitaliy Markiv was detained in Italy on charges of alleged involvement in the murder of Italian photographer Andrea Rocchelli and his Russian interpreter Andrei Mironov.
The screening was followed by a discussion with:
- Olga Tokariuk, one of the authors of the documentary;
- Oleksandra Matviychuk, human rights activist and director of the Centre for civil liberties;
- Oleksandr Nazarchuk, volunteer, one of the characters of the documentary.
- Moderator: Volodymyr Yermolenko, philosopher and writer, editor in chief at the Ukraine World.
