The killing of journalists was just the beginning. What Wagner Group is doing in the Central African Republic.

Almost five years ago, on July 30, 2018, three Russian journalists were killed in the Central African Republic: Orkhan Dzhemal, Kirill Radchenko and Alexander Rastorguev. They travelled to the Central African Republic to prepare material on the activities of the Wagner Group mercenaries. After an investigation, the Dossier Center concluded that the structures of Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of the Wagner Group, were involved in the murder of journalists. Since then, extrajudicial executions of civilians, looting, beatings of priests and shooting at UN personnel have become a norm for Russian mercenaries in the Central African Republic. All these events are described in detail in their reports.

Five years later, thanks to the leaked internal archives of #Wagnerleaks, the Dossier Center can answer the question that interested journalists: what Wagner Group is doing in the Central African Republic? The Dossier Center, along with Le Monde, Capa Presse and Die Welt, studied the internal documents, which revealed the details of the mass military deployment of the Wagner Group in the Central African Republic and the consequences of their work in the country.
